Mission is a holistic and integral way, and it is a special quest, with the components of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), which has to be shared with every human being. The words of the Psalmist (85:11) remind us that there is no justice without peace, and equally no peace without justice. Both presuppose relationships marked by openness and care.

This flows from the desire to commit ourselves with greater passion and compassion through the Direction statement of the Congregational Chapter 2024:

• Nurture ‘Eucharistic Hope’ as the cornerstone of our communities and mission to become agents of care, mercy and compassion.
• Make courageous evangelical choices to leave ‘our nests’ and in solidarity go to the margins and peripheries, through preferential option for young people, families in need, migrants, transgenders and trafficked persons, in collaboration and networking with others for greater apostolic impact.
• Identify Lay collaborators and empower them to be partners in our mission.
• Facilitate personal and communal responsibility for our common home, protecting and renewing God’s creation.
• Create eco-consciousness leading to eco-friendly lifestyle and social responsibility while working diligently towards achievable ‘Laudato Si’ and Sustainable Development Goals.

Journeying with people of different religions, races and cultures, and listening profoundly to the joys and suffering of humanity, have allowed us to be touched by the poverty, inequality, exclusion, violence and environmental destruction that are present in today’s world.
