Message of Bicentenary - Sr. Tresa KVM
My dear Sr. Innamma, the Superior General and her Council.
The Provincial Councils of Indian Provinces, Regional Superior and Council, Ghana Region
and all my dear sisters, I feel unconditionally privileged to wish Hearty Congratulations to
each one on this auspicious occasion. Being part of the Congregation at this point of time is a
bountiful blessing of the divine to each one of us. Hence, I bow down my head in gratitude to
God for journeying with us for 200 years, we thank god for 200 years of blessings, 200 years
of inspirations, 200 years of guidance, 200 years of challenges, so on and so forth. In, Psalm:
91:16, the Lord says to the psalmist, “With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my
salvation”, similarly my dear sisters, 200 long years journey of the Congregation reflects and
represents, God’s faithfulness to the Congregation thereby to all of us. As we express our
gratitude to the Lord, we do recognize the greater responsibility upon us i.e., to continue to be
faithful to the Lord, so that our trustworthiness to the teachings of the divine, spirituality and
charism of the Congregation may continue to add some more centuries to our beloved
Congregation. At this point of time, in the history of the human kind, where confusion and
crises is becoming the norm of the day, the teachings of our beloved founder Rev. Fr.
Mathias Wolff, SJ lights up the path, he says through P M 137, “With heavens help we
should not fear anything”. So my dear sisters, irrespective of the situations around us,
keeping our trust in the Lord, we march forward. Let us make this bicentenary year an
opportune time where we move in to the depths of the spiritual resources of our
Congregation, thereby deepening our spiritual routs, anchoring into the divine essence within
us, we move forward into many more centuries ahead by fulfilling Divine will in and through
our lives, our ministries, thereby bearing witness to the Kingdom values, so that, our lives
become a song of gratitude to the Divine. Once again, I wish each one of us a grace filled,
enriching, spiritually rekindling bicentenary year.
God bless us…
- Sr. Tresa
